Getting to know Amanda Martin

I am so glad you are here! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years of therapy experience. I work virtually with teens and women. Areas of focus include stress and anxiety management, adjustment to life changes, body image, eating disorders, trauma, foster care and adoption-related challenges, peri- and post-natal challenges, as well as coping with food allergies. I received a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Evangel University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My hope is that my clients would become empowered to rewrite their stories, reclaim joy, and find healing through a holistic therapeutic approach. I take a collaborative approach with my clients to ensure specific therapy goals are being worked toward. The therapy modalities I use combine thought/behavioral work along with somatic (whats happening in the body) work through an attachment and trauma informed lens.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When working with me, you can expect warmth, connection, and encouragement during our time together. I understand that reaching out can be a scary step for many. I will work with you at a pace that feels safe and help you identify what you hope to get out of the therapy process.
