Amanda McFee, LPC

Psychotherapist
SC
I am a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Francis Marion University. I specialize in perinatal mental health, trauma, and anxiety. Being a woman is hard; being a mother sometimes feels impossible. I want to help ease that burden. I focus on perinatal mental health to support new or soon-to-be parents. One in five women suffer postpartum—you are not alone in this. I am also trained in EMDR to help you process previous trauma that continues to negatively impact you. As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I work with you to identify negative thoughts and understand how they shape your emotions and behaviors. I aim to show compassion, warmth, directness, and a sense of humor as I support clients in overcoming personal barriers. My goal is to help you develop healthier coping skills, increase self-care techniques, and improve communication skills to support you in every aspect of life. I look forward to helping you see if I and my approach are a good fit for you. I currently see clients within South Carolina virtually. We will start by getting to know one another and ensuring you feel comfortable, then work on building your toolbox for whatever you may be experiencing.
