My approach I start and meet you where you are at in your life. I start by finding out what goals you have, your strengths and barriers, your plans on accomplishing goals, and what it's going to take to make changes. I work with you. I enjoy listening and using my skills to help you become who you want to be! I have been certified in so many modalities. My focus I work with you by using person-centered therapy. I am nonjudgmental and use unconditional positive regard. I will start working with you to identify what needs you have. Even if you just need to talk, I am here for you! My communication style I have an assertive communication style. I believe in being respectful and having an open communication style. Therapy is meant to let a person talk about what they need to talk about. My journey to mental healthcare I have been working in mental health for the last 13 years. I enjoy working with people. I have always wanted to help others. I believe that the job as a therapist is my calling. I believe in Hope and Change. My goals for you We will talk about your treatment goals. We will discuss what steps it will take to accomplish the goals. We will look at who, what, when, where, and how when referring to interventions. I will work with you to create a person-centered treatment plan. My first session with you In the first session, we will get to know one another and build a therapeutic relationship. I will talk to you about what therapy means to you and what you hope to get out of therapy. I am very open-minded and laid back. I will approach the session in a person-centered approach. We can discuss different therapeutic modalities that would be the best.
