Amanda Nicholson, LMFT

Psychotherapist
GA
I'm Dr. Amanda Nicholson, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with advanced training in sex therapy. I hold a Master's in Family Therapy and a Doctor in Human Sexuality Studies, and for over seven years I've supported individuals and couples navigating anxiety, relationship stress, intimacy concerns, trauma, and life transitions. I work particularly with Black women of faith who are reclaiming their sexual self-esteem and learning to integrate spirituality, identity, and intimacy with confidence and compassion. I also support high-achieving women who feel overwhelmed beneath the surface and are seeking deeper alignment in their relationships and personal growth. My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative, integrating trauma-informed, narrative, and systems-based perspectives with space for conversations about faith when meaningful to you. Therapy with me is a space for honest reflection and sustainable change. I offer both individual and couples therapy. Please note that couples therapy is offered as a private pay service and is not covered by insurance.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
