Amanda believes that the quality of our relationships, with ourselves and with others, has a profound impact on our quality of life and health. She provides family, partner, and individual therapy out of her Loveland office to serve these important relationships while providing a supportive and accountable therapeutic space. Amanda works with her clients to recognize and celebrate the strengths that they, and their relationships, already have while collaboratively making sense of the aspects of their lives that currently do not align with the quality of life that they are seeking. She then works together with her clients to understand what changes will be beneficial and how she can support them in making these changes through therapy and community resourcing. These changes may include addressing needs related to relationship difficulties, family conflict, identity, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use, and needs unique to LGBTQIA+, foster care, and adoption. Her approach draws from systemic, empowerment, narrative, experiential, emotionally focused, social justice, and somatic theories. Amanda has been intentional in pursuing specialized education, training, and experience to support the quality of care that she provides her clients with having completed Marriage and Family Therapy post-graduate certification in addition to obtaining dual licensure in Clinical Social Work and Addiction Counseling. She also recognizes that who we choose to work with in the important work of therapy is an important decision and practices regular discussion with her clients about their experience and needs.
