Getting to know Amanda Phipps

Hi, I'm Amanda. I am grateful to help clients work through early life traumas and adult attachment, as well as more recent or current traumatic events. I also enjoy working with clients to improve emotional regulation skills to enhance overall mood. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Campbellsville University and am currently licensed in Kentucky and Virginia. With 8 years of experience working with people of all ages, I am now focusing specifically on supporting adults.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in trauma therapy surrounding attachment and early childhood traumas, as well as specific traumatic events and attachment in relationships. I utilize an integrative combination of Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal, EMDR and Mindfulness.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session, I hope to make you feel comfortable and get an understanding of your goals in treatment. In follow up sessions we will discuss updates since last session and will review skills from appropriate treatment modalities.
