Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up quickly, and my goal is to create a calm, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and not judged—especially during life’s most difficult moments. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals and families move from surviving to thriving. I work with teens and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and stress or burnout. I also have extensive experience supporting families navigating complex systems such as schools, mental health care, and community resources. My approach is both warm and practical. I help clients better understand themselves while also developing tools they can use in daily life to feel more grounded and in control. Therapy with me is collaborative and respectful of each person’s unique story, strengths, and goals. I welcome all clients into my practice and am committed to supporting those in the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time or returning after past experiences, I strive to make the process feel supportive, empowering, and grounded in hope. The first session is simply a conversation where we get to know each other and begin understanding what you’d like to be different.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me that they feel comfortable talking with me very quickly. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to be honest about both their struggles and their strengths. I take a non-judgmental approach and meet each client where they are. Some clients come to therapy during a crisis, while others come because they want to better understand themselves or improve relationships. Both are welcome. My work is informed by trauma-informed care, which means I recognize how past experiences can shape emotions, relationships, and coping patterns. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I help clients understand the underlying patterns that may be influencing how they feel or respond to situations. At the same time, I believe therapy should be practical and useful. I often help clients develop concrete strategies they can use in daily life—such as improving communication, managing anxiety, setting boundaries, or navigating difficult emotions. For parents and families, I also work collaboratively to help strengthen relationships, improve understanding, and build healthier dynamics at home. Therapy is not about being “fixed.” It is about gaining insight, building skills, and creating space for meaningful change. My role is to walk alongside clients in that process, offering support, guidance, and encouragement along the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, important life experiences, and what you hope might be different as a result of therapy. This conversation helps us begin identifying goals and areas of focus. Early sessions are often centered on building a strong therapeutic relationship and helping clients feel comfortable in the process. Feeling safe and understood is one of the most important foundations for meaningful progress. As therapy continues, we work together to explore patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be contributing to current challenges. Depending on a client’s needs, sessions may include: • Processing difficult experiences • Learning tools to manage anxiety, stress, or depression • Improving communication and relationships • Developing healthy coping strategies • Building confidence and self-understanding I tailor therapy to each individual client. Some people benefit from structured skill-building, while others benefit more from reflective conversation and deeper emotional processing. My goal is always to help clients leave sessions with greater clarity, insight, and practical tools they can use between appointments. Over time, many clients begin to notice changes in how they respond to stress, navigate relationships, and care for their own well-being. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I view clients as the experts on their own lives. My role is to provide guidance, perspective, and encouragement as we work toward the goals that matter most to you.
