Amanda Transue-Woolston, LCSW

Psychotherapist
PA
Hi there, I'm Amanda! I hold an LCSW in PA and DE and earned my Master?s in Clinical Social Work from Bryn Mawr College, following my Bachelor?s degree from West Chester University. I help teens and adults navigate grief, trauma, and loss from relationships by addressing current relationship stress, healing past wounds, and building healthy, fulfilling relationships with self and others. My approach My approach to therapy is predominantly humanistic, but I integrate all major theoretical orientations to meet the unique needs of each client. I use evidence-based approaches (empirical), combined with my expert knowledge and skills, as well as insights from other practitioners and scholars (rational), to support clients in achieving their own desires and hopes for mental and emotional well-being (humanistic). I also work in ways that honor and respect who they are within their relationships, communities, and society as a whole (collectivist). This integrative approach ensures that therapy is both personalized and grounded in the best available practices, fostering growth and healing on an individual and relational level. My focus I typically work with teens and adults navigating grief, trauma, and relationship challenges, including relationship anxiety and OCD, codependency, and emotional abuse recovery. I specialize in supporting survivors, people connected to adoption, and people in LGBTQIA+ and other non-traditional relationships. I am most comfortable treating issues related to attachment wounds, identity struggles, and relationship stress?whether helping clients heal from past experiences, address current challenges, or build healthier connections with themselves and others. I have extensive experience assessing and treating conditions such as prolonged grief disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, mild BPD, PTSD, complex PTSD, acute stress disorder, adjustment disorder, depressive disorders, and related challenges such as panic, phobias, and insomnia.
