Getting to know Amanda Weston

Welcome! My name is Dr. Amanda Weston and I am a licensed mental health counselor providing telehealth services in the state of Florida. I also completed my PhD in Behavioral and Community Sciences at the University of South Florida! My passion is to assist individuals in making meaningful changes to their lives and to learn how to tackle life's hardships with the tools and skills learned in therapy. I have extensive training in treating adolescents and adults with OCD and related disorders, Anxiety disorders, Depression and Mood Disorders, Trauma, problematic video gaming behaviors and Gaming Disorder, and LGBTQ+ issues. I only utilize evidence-based treatments and specialize in CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and Exposure Therapy. I strive to provide a safe environment where you can feel comfortable being vulnerable as we work together to overcome the hardships you are facing. If you are willing and ready to do the work, I would be honored to help assist you on your journey of growth and healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session consists of an intake where I ask you questions to gather as much information as possible so that I can understand your situation. We both then develop goals and a treatment plan that suits your needs. I will teach you skills to manage the stressors of your life so that you gain the autonomy and independency needed to manage on your own over time.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
