Getting to know Amanda Zacharias

I am a New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 18 years of experience. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Bloomsburg University and a Master's Degree in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to my counseling experience, I have over 10 years of experience as a clinical supervisor and hold my Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential. Over the course of my career, I have worked in several different settings, including hospital-based, partial hospitalization/day treatment, and outpatient. I have treated clients with various challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, eating disorders, and parenting challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My experience has taught me that what works for one person may not work for another. It’s important for me to go beyond the diagnosis and/or challenge(s) + get to know each client as a person.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
