You’ve done survival. Now it’s time for something different. If you have lived through trauma, whether from painful relationships, family dynamics, or experiences that left you feeling unsafe or disconnected, you already know how to endure. Healing is not just about getting by. It is about reclaiming a sense of safety, self, and possibility. I specialize in trauma-focused therapy and work with approaches including EMDR, Internal Family Systems-informed therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to support clients in moving from surviving to truly living again, while never losing sight of the human in the room. Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It is about honoring what you have already survived and helping you reconnect with parts of yourself that may have gone quiet over time. Many clients come to therapy feeling exhausted from holding it together and unsure where to begin. My role is to provide steadiness, compassion, and guidance as we work together at a pace that feels safe and respectful. I work with teens and adults of all identities and am committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and equitable care. I actively support and advocate for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities and strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood. I bring warmth, groundedness, and appropriate humor into the therapy space, while staying attuned to each client’s needs and goals. What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that therapy with me is collaborative, trauma-informed, and paced with care. I focus on creating a space that feels safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental, especially for individuals who have spent a long time in survival mode. Sessions are structured but flexible, with attention to both emotional safety and practical progress. I draw from evidence-based trauma approaches and tailor our work to what feels most helpful for you. You do not need to have everything figured out to begin. My role is to offer steadiness, clarity, and support as we work together toward healing, at a pace that feels manageable and aligned with your goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical first session focuses on building safety, understanding what brings you in, and getting a sense of your history without pushing for details you are not ready to share. We talk about current concerns, goals for therapy, and what feels most important for you right now. Early sessions emphasize stabilization, resourcing, and helping your nervous system feel more supported before moving into deeper work. As therapy continues, sessions are collaborative and flexible. We check in, notice patterns that show up in daily life, and work with practical tools to support emotional regulation, boundaries, and values-based choices. When appropriate and with your consent, we may integrate trauma-focused approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems-informed work, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The timing and depth of this work are guided by your readiness rather than a rigid timeline. Throughout the process, you set the pace. Therapy is not about reliving trauma, but about helping your system feel safe enough to heal and reconnect with yourself. My role is to provide steadiness, structure, and support while walking alongside you as you move forward.
