Hi there, I'm Amber! I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and licensed Professional Counselor with a Specialty in Art Therapy services within Nebraska. I hold a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Adler University. I enjoy and often use positive psychology, Gestalt, motivational interviewing, and other approaches tailored to client needs. I primarily work collaboratively with my clients to find what works best for them and support them in reaching their goals. I aim to help clients develop new skills, increase personal strengths, and navigate challenges to overcome difficulties. My focus I primarily work with young adults to middle-aged adults at this time. I have also worked with middle school age to young adults and their families for many years. I frequently support individuals struggling with stress, loss/grief, trauma, life changes, transitions, health concerns, anxiety, low self-esteem, and more. I focus on providing affirmative care for the LGBTQIA+ and polyamorous communities. My communication style I use an open, engaging, and direct style that helps build rapport through a trusting and collaborative approach. I am positive and non-judgmental, offering unconditional positive regard for my clients. I encourage and challenge clients to work toward their goals as needed, maintaining an overall calm and warm presence.
