Hello, I'm Amber, and I'm thrilled to potentially work with you on your mental health journey. I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Social Work in 2019 and recently earned my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification. While my LCSW is a recent achievement, I've been immersed in the mental health field for over five years, gaining valuable experience along the way. My professional journey has taken me through various roles, including community mental health as a case worker, and working with individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Recently, I've dedicated my efforts to working closely with individuals who have chronic health conditions. This focus has allowed me to better understand the unique challenges they face and help them build on their strengths, even in difficult situations. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with individuals dealing with OCD, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and psychosis. I genuinely enjoy working with a diverse range of people and am passionate about helping individuals learn to function and feel better in their daily lives. On a personal note, I share my home with two cats and two dogs, who bring a lot of joy and companionship to my life. When I'm not working, you can often find me spending time with them or enjoying the outdoors, especially during the beautiful fall and spring seasons.
