Getting to know Amber Reakes

Hi, I do not do court evaluations or court ordered treatments. As for my mission statement, I’m passionate about helping adolescents, young adults, and adults feel more understood, empowered, and emotionally supported through life’s challenges. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, self esteem concerns, behavioral difficulties, relationship issues, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and engaging, blending CBT, ACT, strengths based, and expressive therapy techniques to help clients build confidence, improve coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment free space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. My style is warm, collaborative, and engaging, while also helping clients build practical tools they can use outside of sessions. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, self esteem concerns, behavioral challenges, and life transitions. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful progress at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin by getting to know each client’s experiences, goals, strengths, and challenges so we can create a treatment approach that feels personalized and effective. Sessions are collaborative and interactive, with a focus on helping clients better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and build confidence in navigating daily life. I often incorporate evidence based approaches such as CBT, ACT, strengths based, and expressive therapy techniques while adjusting sessions to meet each client’s unique needs and personality.
