Getting to know Amber Stewart

Hello, and welcome! My name is Amber Stewart, and I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC) out of Western Pennsylvania; I'm also licensed in Wisconsin. I specialize in anxiety, self-esteem, depression, and trauma. I want to help you go from just tolerating the symptoms of your anxiety, depression, or trauma to living fully in the present and having a healthy relationship with yourself. You deserve to live the life you envision for yourself, and I want to help you do that by exploring the areas you're struggling with, teaching you ways to cope, and reducing the impact that these symptoms have on your life by addressing them at their core. I believe that underlying most (if not all) mental health concerns is some kind of trauma - and, there are many studies that support my belief that trauma is connected to depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, we'll do some paperwork and I'll ask you some questions to understand some of you history and what has brought you to this point. You can share with me your goals for therapy or we can work together to figure out what you want your goals to be. Then, we'll work together on takings steps towards your goals, whatever they may be. If you are looking to address trauma in your past, we will explore this together to figure out the best option for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
