Getting to know Amber Treeck

Hello, I'm Amber! I have a great love for trauma work and helping clients realize how trauma has been impacting them. My focus is on increasing feelings of trust and safety, developing emotional awareness of triggers, and improving irritability and other mood and relationship side effects related to trauma. I often use EMDR in trauma treatment, as it can be incredibly effective in these areas. Another passion of mine is helping clients learn to implement boundaries in their personal and professional lives. This often comes up during trauma treatment as people realize how certain relationships can be toxic. I help clients analyze these relationships and explore how boundaries can improve their interpersonal dynamics. As an adult diagnosed with ADHD and a parent to two AuDHD boys, I strive to be a neurodiversity-affirming provider. I have personal insight into how ADHD can affect adult women and experience parenting neurodivergent children. I am passionate about supporting other parents of neurodivergent kiddos and firmly believe that neurodiversity, while challenging, can also be a superpower. I encourage my neurodiverse clients to explore how their unique traits can benefit them. If you choose to work with me, we'll start with an intake appointment where I gather information about you and your history. We'll discuss what you're seeking in therapy and create an individual treatment plan to outline your mental health goals. From there, we'll decide how to move forward and what modalities we'll use. For clients with ADHD, there's much more to treatment than just medication!
