Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I have migrated to states such as Georgia, Florida, and recently found home in Houston, Texas. I am no stranger to diverse spaces, and it is for this reason I pride myself on bringing an eclectic approach to the therapeutic space. My approach is client-centered. I believe every client is in the driver’s seat of their own therapy. My goal is to assist my clients in reaching a space where they feel they are living as the best version of themselves. Additionally, my hope is to serve as an anchor for my clients while they navigate difficult spaces, process trauma, and manage acute or recurring stress. I employ a variety of therapy approaches and modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Approaches, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Within the scope of family therapy, I utilize Psycho-Education, Structural Therapy, and Systemic Therapy. My educational experience includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on the Afro-Centric Perspective from Clark Atlanta University, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on Trauma-Informed Care from Barry University. Currently, I hold licenses in Florida, Texas, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Additionally, I am a Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida. When I am not assisting my clients, I enjoy exercising, spending time with family, and traveling.
