What should a new client know about working with you?

My journey to becoming a therapist began with a deep interest in the strength and resilience people carry, even in tough times. I’ve always been drawn to the ways individuals can reflect on their own lives and find meaning and insight. Over the years, I’ve worked with children navigating challenging behaviors, supported their parents, and walked alongside adults facing anxiety, depression, and everyday life stress. I truly love what I do and feel honored to connect with people who are working toward growth and positive change. I believe the best kind of therapy is collaborative. It doesn't help for me to TELL you what to change, it has to be important to you. We can work through specific and current circumstances or big picture difficulties with anxiety, parenting, relationships, or personal growth. As you learn more about yourself, your goals might change. We can always adjust as we go. My job is to support you and help you find tools that make things a little easier, even when life feels tough. In our first telehealth session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable with the process. I’ll ask some questions to understand what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to work on, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. You can also ask me any questions about how therapy works. Even though we’re meeting virtually, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood, right from where you are.
