Amy takes a holistic, person centered, and culturally responsive approach to counseling. She believes that understanding a person’s emotional well being means looking beyond symptoms and considering the whole person, including their emotional and physical well being, relationships, family dynamics, culture, values, identity, environment, and life experiences. She recognizes that cultural and family backgrounds can play an important role in how individuals understand themselves, experience challenges, and approach relationships and mental health. Amy believes meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. She strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves into therapy. By meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively, Amy helps clients develop greater self awareness, recognize patterns, strengthen coping and communication skills, and work toward meaningful and lasting growth.
