What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer a tailored approach to therapy, adapting modalities to fit each client's developmental age and preferred learning methods. During the intake, I will work collaboratively with my clients to determine the most appropriate approach based on their preferences, symptoms & behaviors, unique lived experiences, therapy goals, and more. The client is in the driver's seat! I am there as the GPS. I enjoy assisting my clients and their caregivers with developmental stages, relationships, and parenting skills. We will thoroughly explore challenges and utilize individual therapy and frequent parent consultations (for those under 17). Parents are an essential part of the healing process! I have pursued extensive training, including certification as an AutPlay Provider (Therapeutic support for the neurodiversity community), Certification as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and courses in somatic work. I am also working toward completing certification to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT),

What is your typical process for working with clients?

True healing cannot occur unless all your needs are met. This empowers you to show up as your authentic self, ready to engage in the healing process. Simply put, I embrace the idea that comfort and nourishment are essential to your journey. Therefore, I encourage you to come to your sessions in whatever makes you feel comfortable—yes, even pajama pants! If you need to eat or quench your thirst, please bring your food and drinks; they are welcome. I also offer bottled water, blankets, and comfort items. I want you to show up unapologetically as yourself. No emotion is too big or too small; all feelings are valid in this space. You don’t have to be careful with your words here; I hope to cultivate an environment where you feel safe and supported to be vulnerable.
