Hi there, I'm Amy! My name is Amy Bowen, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. My focus I focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders (including disordered eating), weight loss, family relationship issues, parenting, and self-esteem concerns. I typically work with teen girls aged 12 and older, as well as women and men. My communication style I create a compassionate and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to live the life they want. My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to human behavior in a high school psychology class, but I decided to become a therapist after facing my own mental health challenges in my thirties. Since then, I have been committed to learning as much as I can to help others overcome difficulties and thrive. My goals for you Goals are an integral part of therapy and are made collaboratively with each client. If circumstances or needs change, we update and adjust goals together with the client’s approval.
