Amy Del Barrio

Amy Del Barrio

Psychotherapist
FL
I am a bilingual mental health therapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mexico and a Master’s degree from Miami. I specialize in human development and adolescent psychotherapy, and I work with parents, adults, young adults, adolescents, and families navigating life transitions and relationship challenges. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I use a blend of person-centered therapy, solution-focused work, motivational interviewing, and emotional therapy. Sessions begin by getting to know you and the different areas of your life, so we can set meaningful goals and focus on what matters most to you. I became a therapist because I’m easy to talk to, empathetic, and genuinely enjoy listening and learning about people’s emotions and experiences. I believe connection and understanding are powerful tools for growth and healing. Outside of therapy, I love nature and plants, spending time with my family and friends, singing karaoke and playing games. I enjoy playing pool when I can, and value my bicultural Mexican–American background. I married my husband after six months of dating, and we are still happily together—an experience that continues to shape my appreciation for relationships and personal growth.
