“Amy has been a wonderful advisor for me through a very difficult period. She is very warm and easy to talk to -- even when I doubted how effective online therapy would be. I found her very knowledgeable about OCD and anxiety, and her insight was extremely valuable to my situation. Each session I was amazed at how well she recalled my situation and anything that I had talked about with her in a prior session. She is so personable and makes you feel like you are her only priority during your time with her. I've gained so much from my time with Amy and am truly thankful that I found her.”

Getting to know Amy Freede

Hello and welcome. My name is Amy. Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts and panic attacks? Do you have trouble detangling yourself from obsessive thinking? Have you recently gone through a major life change and find that you are feeling a little lost? I work with individuals who are ready to calm the anxiety within and move into a place of greater peace and contentment. We will work together to identify the anxious thoughts and behavior patterns keeping you stuck and create new pathways to get you moving again. In addition to cognitive behavioral techniques, I also utilize mindfulness, with an emphasis on self-compassion and self-care. Whether you have experienced anxiety for as long as you can remember or have recently gone through a major life change such as welcoming a new baby, job promotion or job loss, divorce, or death of a loved one, I am here to help you navigate through the storm and establish your "new normal." I believe we are all trying our best. It takes great courage to examine yourself and even greater courage to share your inner thoughts and feelings with another person. I honor that and will work with you to help you find your way to greater fulfillment and peace. I hold a Master's in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support you effectively. I look forward to meeting you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Each session will follow a simple structure which allows us to keep our eyes on your goal while also giving us space to explore. After a review of the week, we will dive into the specifics of what you are experiencing or working on. We will have time for discussion, space to acknowledge and feel your feelings, and you will also leave the session with new insights, skills to practice, and a review of how you feel things are working for you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
