Getting to know Amy Fujino

I have been in the mental health field for 20 years working in a variety of settings. I launched "In Touch Counseling Center" in 2022 and have loved serving the community. I serve a general population to ensure that I am able to serve as many people with differing struggles by preference and believe every client has great potential to find happiness, quality of life and the ability to thrive!

What should a new client know about working with you?

My sessions run approximately 50 minutes and start out unstructured so that the client can decide what they would like to work on in session with my guidance and support. Sessions can be as structured or unstructured based on client preferences. I use a behavioral approach in teaching skills, connecting with the client and offering food for thought until next session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When providing behavioral therapy, I tend to present skills and strategies from the ACT, CBT and DBT models, with special emphasis on strength-based perspectives and achieve balance by offering both constructive and positive feedback aimed at helping the client gain awareness while taking accountability and action with my help.
