What should a new client know about working with you?

What to Expect in Our Work Together A Secure and Collaborative Alliance: Therapy is a collaborative partnership. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and highly supportive environment where we can safely explore sensitive clinical concerns, process core wounds, and work toward sustainable healing. An Attachment-Focused Approach: Our work will often focus on understanding your relational patterns and attachment history. By integrating the PACE model (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity, and empathy), we will work to shift your relational dynamics from survival strategies to healthy, thriving connections. Tailored, Evidence-Based Modalities: Because every individual's journey is unique, I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. We will draw from a diverse range of evidence-based therapies—such as ACT, AFT, CPT, CBT, DBT, IFS, and trauma-focused modalities, to build a treatment plan tailored specifically to your clinical needs and goals. A Commitment to Your Autonomy: You are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide the clinical expertise, tools, and compassionate guidance to support your self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth at a pace that feels secure for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The Therapeutic Process Initial Assessment and Goal Setting: We begin with a comprehensive clinical assessment to understand your history, current challenges, and unique strengths. Together, we will identify your specific therapeutic goals and establish a clear roadmap for our work. Creating a Secure Foundation: In the early stages of therapy, our focus is on building a strong, collaborative therapeutic alliance. We establish a safe and predictable environment, ensuring you feel supported as we begin to explore deeper clinical concerns. Tailored Intervention: Utilizing an attachment-focused framework, we integrate evidence-based modalities tailored to your specific needs. We work to process core trauma, address relational patterns, and develop practical coping strategies for daily life. Integration and Skill Building: As we process underlying wounds, we focus on integrating these insights into your daily life. This phase emphasizes building resilience, strengthening self-awareness, and practicing new relational and behavioral patterns. Evaluation and Transition: Throughout our work, we will periodically review your progress against your initial goals. As you achieve sustainable growth and feel equipped with the tools needed to thrive independently, we will collaboratively plan for the completion of therapy or transition to maintenance care.
