Getting to know Amy Hickman

Hi! I am an LCSW with more than 15 years of experience. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Indiana University and my Bachelor's from Purdue University Northwest. I enjoy working with my clients very much and have a great deal of experience with many different groups. I take pride in helping my clients meet their own goals and succeed. My approach is to always remember that clients are the experts on themselves-I am not. I want to help you achieve your goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I will listen to you and will work with you on your own goals. Your session will be used to work on what you ant to work on.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Amy helps me to feel the confidence to handle everyday stresses and anxieties that I deal with. She has helped me build my tool belt of coping skills that I now use to help deal with stressful situations and when I’m having bouts of depression and negative thoughts.
Amy has been an excellent support person for our daughter and us, as parents. Honestly do not believe Madi would be as successful as she is without Amy's encouragement and perseverance.

Amy has been a fantastic presence in our family’s lives. She listens well, and has been great at helping our family as a unit or individually problem solve and meet goals where needed, whether in crisis or not. She’s authentic, caring, warm, continues to educate herself through conferences, and has an ability to immediately offer helpful solutions. We noticed differences with her assistance from the jump several years ago. We will always highly recommend Amy and forever be grateful for her services.
