What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy working with teens, adults, couples and families. I specialize in PTSD/ Trauma (childhood, partner/domestic, military) and addiction. I am also skilled in working with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship communication issues. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist that uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Focused, and Trauma-Informed methods. My philosophy relies on Empowerment, Existentialism, Mind-Body Connection, and developing independent strengths. I believe in a direct approach that helps find the root cause of the things bringing you to therapy. My sessions include honesty, humor, compassion, education, empowerment, and techniques that look at all aspects of your life to help you determine the need for internal and external change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that therapy is about progress and not perfection. I work to help my clients develop an understanding of their past and how it influences their present. I believe that these methods allow for a better understanding of how to conquer your mental health and to live the life that you want. My sessions will challenge and support you so that you can see how therapy is a safe, open, and helpful place. I provide open and honest feedback through collaboration towards your goals.
