Getting to know Amy Kersten

Hi, I’m Amy. I live in Missouri with my husband, our sweet dog, and two very sassy cats who keep life lively. Being both a military spouse and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker has shaped who I am, both personally and professionally. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through life’s many transitions, challenges, and seasons of growth. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, and perinatal mental health. My journey into social work began with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska, followed by a master’s from the University of Maine. For more than 20 years, I’ve been walking alongside people as they navigate anxiety, trauma, infertility, grief, and the everyday pressures of life. What I love most about this work is creating a safe, supportive space where people can feel heard, understood, and empowered to reconnect with themselves. At the heart of my approach is the belief that healing is possible—and that resilience can grow even in the most difficult circumstances. Whether we’re working through painful past experiences or exploring new ways to cope with stress, my goal is to help you find hope, balance, and a deeper sense of self.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
