Getting to know Amy Lowell

Welcome! I'm Amy and I'm a therapist based in Buda, TX (just south of Austin). I often work with folx who are neurodivergent (like me!) and are struggling with anxiety or have a history of trauma.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer a compassionate, neuro-affirming, non-judgmental approach and often use humor when working with clients. The modalities I use are research-backed, but I won't fill our sessions with psychology jargon. I'm trained in EMDR and often use it for PTSD symptoms and to help others with any problem that might be impacting their life like anxiety or shame.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I like to take my time getting to know each client and tailor my treatment to each individual. I will not pressure you to talk about anything you are not ready to talk about. Modalities I use include EMDR, CBT, attachment, and polyvagal theory.
