Amy Ratkovich, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. With a focus on empathy and understanding, I aim to help you discover your true self and navigate life's challenges with greater ease. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, a Bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University, and an Associate’s degree from City College of San Francisco. As a telehealth provider, I offer the convenience of accessing therapy from your own home, allowing for greater flexibility in scheduling and often at a lower cost compared to in-person sessions. Together, we will work towards your goals, whether they involve managing anxiety, improving relationships, or enhancing overall well-being. I understand that life can be unpredictable, and flexibility is important. However, to ensure that I can continue offering affordable telehealth services, I have a cancellation policy in place. Clients will be charged a $160 fee for no-shows or cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment. This policy helps cover the costs incurred from missed appointments and allows me to offer lower rates for my telehealth services.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me means you'll find a supportive, understanding space where you can be yourself. I believe in taking small, manageable steps to help you reach your goals. Whether you're dealing with stress, relationship issues, or just need someone to talk to, I'm here to help. My focus is on making sure you feel heard and understood, and we'll work together to find the best ways for you to feel better.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we'll talk about what brings you in and what you hope to get out of therapy. From there, we'll create a plan that fits your needs. I use a mix of different techniques to help you understand yourself better and develop new skills to handle life's challenges. Our sessions will be a mix of talking through your thoughts and feelings, learning new strategies, and checking in on your progress. My goal is to help you feel more confident and equipped to handle whatever comes your way.
