What I offer most of all is a warm relationship, and a space and time for you to connect to the things that are upsetting you, so that you can get them up and out. Often that means giving them words, but first you feel them in the body, and honor them and yourself by being with. Making time. Letting it out. There are a lot of ways to heal and feel better — truly!

What should a new client know about working with you?

The path can take many shapes and forms. My roots and heart are in the relationship. I’m open, and steady, and really curious about people.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

EMDR is eclectic and human-focused. It’s a funky and complex approach, and it can help people in the most surprising ways. At its core, EMDR makes intentional time to be with the events that have really hurt. In new ways, and with support. I’ve used it with many people, but with many others I don’t. The conditions and fit have to be right. In the meantime, I offer my presence, warmth, humor. I enjoy noticing your strengths and encouraging you to develop more compassion for yourself. Connecting to the wisdom that has helped you survive. This is empowering, even if you only feel glimmers at first.
