Getting to know Amy Schuring

I am very passionate about helping people find freedom from the things that have caused hurt and pain in their lives. I love working collaboratively with my clients on their journey to living the life they desire. Together, we will explore what is getting in the way of living a life filled with more peace and joy. I provide a safe, supportive, and validating environment for people to share those things that are deep down inside of them. We all have purpose and destiny, and I am excited to help you find yours! I love equipping and empowering individuals, couples, and families with skills to promote healthier relationships and communication, as well as decreasing stress and identifying the root causes of issues. I also specialize in helping people heal from unhealed trauma. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from National Louis University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients effectively on their healing journeys.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session I will get to know you. I will gather information about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. These sessions are all for you and I want to make sure you are getting what you need. I will provide recommendations and guidance along the way as I want to make sure you are well equipped and empowered to make the changes you desire.
