What should a new client know about working with you?

My experience with issues and diagnoses has allowed me the chance to work with many clients, but on an individual level. A collaborative approach results in the creation of meaningful goals that can be addressed in session, but also extend beyond to future coping. Being aware of both the common and the unique can result in favorable outcomes and an ability to succeed.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My focus is to educate, support, and guide you toward empowerment rather than definition by diagnosis. I feel this process though is best applied in a safe and welcoming environment. I respect, honor, and believe that individuals are truly their own experts capable of much. Strengths may hide behind a negative past, current struggles, or being overwhelmed by what could be. It is my role to help identify and address that which interferes with one's happiness and overall functioning. In choosing to participate in therapy, you have made a wise and motivated decision to take care of yourself, and it would be a privilege to assist you overcome and grow.
