Ana Delgado, LMHC

Psychotherapist
WA
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). I am here to support you on your journey toward recovery and wellness. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Saint Leo University in Savannah, GA, in 1997, and I obtained a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, in 2001. My approach I believe in meeting clients where they are in their wellness journey, taking into account their unique challenges and needs. I value the differences among individuals and recognize the importance of offering a variety of treatment modalities for clients to engage with. After all, one size does not fit all. My focus I aim to promote the expression of thoughts, needs, and desires as a way to foster emotional and personal growth. Each person is at a different stage in their journey when seeking therapy or counseling, and I strive to meet you where you are to help you identify goals for long-term change. My communication style I approach communication with curiosity, mindfulness, and thoughtfulness. We all have unique ways of expressing ourselves, especially in therapy, where it's essential to create an environment that fosters trust and allows us to share our thoughts comfortably. My journey to mental healthcare I come from a culture where the collective well-being of the community is of utmost importance. My family values generosity, active listening, and taking action to support and improve the lives of others when needed. I was guided by women elders who taught me the importance of diversity, empathy, care, and love. This upbringing inspired me to pursue a path that allows me to help and support others in times of need.
