Getting to know Ana Delgadolesmes
Hi, my name is Ana Silvia Delgadolesmes. I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in South Miami-Dade County, Florida for over 25 years. Through the years, I have provided individual, couples, and family services to a culturally diverse population of children, adolescents, adults, and elder adults in Spanish and English. My scope of practice includes counseling for those experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorder, stress, PTSD, relationship difficulties, alcohol/substance use disorder, ADHD, Autism and trauma. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota (1989) and my master’s degree from Florida International University in 1996; I completed my internship with adolescents that were neglected and/or abused. I take an eclectic, problem focused, cognitive behavioral approach to counseling. I see my role as helping people reach their functional potential by integrating thoughts, behaviors, and feelings to adapt to life challenges and obtain goals related to their unique lives. I enjoy reading, walking and listening to music.
