I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Albizu University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively. Where did you grow up? San Juan, Puerto Rico! I moved to the US in my mid-teens. Who or what most inspired you? My mother, the strongest person I have known. She kept her family together, was independent, and always supportive. She empowered me to do the same. What’s the best piece of advice someone gave you? “Do what you love and enjoy what you do.” And, “You are your only limitation.” What do you like to read, listen to, or watch? I like reading about psychology, especially how past trauma affects our lives. I enjoy chill music like “Your Mind” by Didi Han, Latin jazz, and classical music. When time allows, I watch mysteries, biographies, and romance movies. What might we find you doing when not working? At home with my family, trying new recipes, playing with my grandchildren, exploring new restaurants with my husband, walking my neighborhood, and connecting with friends. What do you do to recharge? I am fascinated by sunrise and sunset. Observing sunrise at the beach feels magical and resets my nervous system. I also use meditation, music, and exercise to recharge.
