Hello! My name is Ana Tamez, and I am a Licensed Professional Therapist in Texas. I graduated with my Master's in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley. I have six years of experience in the mental health field, where I have had the privilege of working with individuals and their families across all ages. My background includes youth and family services, an unaccompanied minor shelter housing children from Central America, and more recently, a behavioral hospital. My treatment approach depends on the needs of the person I am working with; however, I primarily focus on CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to help you better help yourself in the most positive way possible. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, working out, and relaxing with my four-year-old dog. I love to learn and help others as much as I can, and I look forward to growing with you!
