Getting to know Andjy Joseph

I am a trauma-focused and trained therapist who utilizes evidence-based and holistic interventions to promote healing. I view behaviors and patterns through a trauma lens. I received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia and gained valuable training and experience working with adolescents in therapeutic foster care agencies and the juvenile justice system. Additionally, I trained and collaborated with psychiatry residents and clinicians at Grady Memorial Hospital Crisis Intervention Unit. I have 8 years of experience working with clients dealing with chronic depression and anxiety.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I understand that each client is different and I tailor all of my sessions based on the individual's needs. My personal belief is that what we feed our bodies, mind, and spirit directly impact one's ability to live out our true potential.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My clients are individuals who are trying to navigate life with depression and anxiety. Many of those concerns lead them to cope in maladaptive ways and when we begin our client and-therapist relationship, my goal is to not be judgemental but to meet them where they are. In our sessions, we often learn that trauma has a huge impact on their view of self so my role is to help my clients unlearn patterns that have been setbacks and teach them more effective methods to cope.
