With over a decade of diverse clinical experience, I’ve worked across various settings including community mental health, substance treatment, psychiatric hospitals, and forensic environments. I also have relevant research experience in trauma and substance addictions. My identity is deeply rooted in diverse experiences: I’m half African American, half Japanese, born in Japan, and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and the Bay Area. I enjoy the ocean, surfing, fishing, barbequing meats in my smoker, gardening, and sports, and I find passion and peace in perfecting my craft and nurturing slow but persistent growth.

I prioritize building a therapeutic relationship with my clients based on trust, respect, and genuine connection, grounded in cultural competency and personalized interventions. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed therapies to help clients transform their personal and professional relationships. My approach is integrative, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together we will explore how past experiences affect current patterns and collaboratively heal relational wounds.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Through insight into my client’s patterns, they gain practical tools to dismantle unhelpful habits, improve communication, build secure attachments, and navigate conflict constructively. This empowers them to build healthier and more fulfilling relationships and foster a sense of security and belonging.
