Getting to know Andrea Celerio

I earned my M.Ed. in Human Services and Counseling at DePaul University in 2004, and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the State of Illinois. After spending 15 years working as a legal advocate for survivors of sexual assault/abuse/harassment, domestic/dating violence and stalking, I took what I learned and brought it into my current career as a private practice therapist. Currently I work with adult clients struggling with anxiety, depression or who have a history of trauma using an eclectic approach combining cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, feminist therapy and mindfulness skills. I take my cues directly from each client to determine what approach, modality and interventions will work best, and I often check in regarding progress toward goals and make adjustments where necessary.
