Hi, I'm Andrea! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky, Maine and New Hampshire. I specialize in helping clients manage and understand trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, women's issues, grief (including disenfranchised grief), and genealogical bewilderment. I obtained a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Kentucky and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2009. I have worked in inpatient behavioral health settings as well as in community mental health. I have been a volunteer DNA search angel for 10 years and have a particular interest in supporting adult adoptees and biological/birth families during search and reunion, including those facing DNA surprises. My expertise covers misattributed parentage, non-paternal events, late discovery of adoption, and navigating the search for identity while maintaining relationships with adoptive or biological families. I use an integrative therapeutic approach, blending client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy from a trauma-informed perspective to partner with you to create a plan for meeting your goals.
