Andrea Peca treats patients starting at 7 years old. Andrea is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned both her bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2012) and her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy (2014) from National University. Throughout her career, she has worked with various populations including adults, children and teens, couples, families, individuals, and groups. She has clinical experience treating mild to severe conditions including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, self-esteem issues, life transitions, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
Andrea has worked in a variety of settings, including with victims of domestic violence, people with severe mental illness, and dual diagnosis conditions (mental health and substance use disorders). Andrea uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Attachment Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strength-based approaches to collaborate with her clients, helping them gain insight and develop coping skills to reach their goals.
