Getting to know Andrew Davis

I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives. I offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can embark on a journey of healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. Life can present us with various challenges, from trauma and anxiety to relationship issues and codependency struggles. I understand the complexities of these experiences and am committed to providing you with the tools, guidance, and support you need to overcome obstacles and thrive. As a trauma-informed therapist, I act as a guide to help you illuminate your path, work through current and/or past challenges, and cope with any other struggles you've come to therapy to address. I feel that working collaboratively is essential to therapeutic progress. It's my belief that everyone who walks in my door is the expert on their life. I see my clients as whole people, not diagnoses on a paper. Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong” with you, I focus treatment around creating compassion for how your lived experiences have impacted your wellbeing. I focus on utilizing your strengths to help create more balance and serenity in your life. Instead of solely focusing on reducing unpleasant symptoms, I find it essential to explore the root of such issues and employ a holistic approach to your wellness. I am proud to provide a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for individuals from all walks of life, including the LGBTQIA+ community. I strive to create an environment that embraces diversity and cultural sensitivity with the goal of helping you feel seen, heard, and validated. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge. My education and training inform my compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I understand the importance of client-centered care and aim to create an environment where clients can work towards making lasting changes. As a therapist, I act as a facilitator on your journey toward wellness, providing a supportive and comforting space where the work can occur. By balancing both providing tools and strategies to deal with current stressors along with dedicating time to explore the root causes of distress, I aim to help clients feel more in control and empowered in a way that helps prepare them to face life's challenges as they come.
