OK
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most difficult challenges. I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including community mental health centers, state agencies, and intensive outpatient programs. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the complexities people face — from day-to-day stressors to profound trauma — and have shaped my belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing when provided with the right support. I work with clients ages 13 and up, offering therapy for depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I am also passionate about providing affirming, inclusive care for members of the LGBTQ+ community. While I do occasionally provide family therapy, I primarily focus on individual therapy because I believe in the power of one-on-one work to create meaningful, lasting change. Above all, I want you to know that therapy with me is a judgment-free space where you can bring your authentic self. Whether you are struggling with overwhelming emotions, navigating your identity, processing grief, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to face these challenges alone. My role is to walk alongside you, offering compassion, guidance, and practical tools to help you take the next steps forward.

Above all, I want you to know that therapy with me is a judgment-free space where you can bring your authentic self. My role is to walk alongside you, offering compassion, guidance, and practical tools to help you take the next steps forward.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is deeply collaborative and client-led. I believe you are the expert on your own life — my role is to provide support, perspective, and skills that help you uncover your strengths and move toward the life you want to create. I aim to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe, deeply understood, and empowered to explore even the most difficult experiences. My style is warm, curious, and down-to-earth, and I often incorporate humor when it feels appropriate because laughter can be a powerful form of healing. I draw from humanistic psychology and a multi-systemic perspective, meaning I view you as a whole person rather than just a collection of symptoms. Together, we’ll look at the different systems that influence your life — family, relationships, work, identity — and how they impact your mental health. My work is always trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and LGBTQ+ affirming. Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. I tailor my approach to your unique needs, blending exploration and insight with practical skills you can use right away. My ultimate goal is to help you build self-awareness, resilience, and confidence, while providing a safe environment where you can heal, grow, and thrive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When you begin therapy, it’s natural to feel uncertain about what to expect. Over time, you’ll notice that our work together is about much more than just talking — it’s about creating meaningful, lasting change in your life. As you progress, my hope is that your symptoms — whether anxiety, depression, or trauma-related distress — will lessen and no longer have the same hold over your daily life. Beyond symptom relief, I want you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, a stronger sense of identity and purpose, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. You can expect to walk away with: Reduced distress and improved functioning so you can get back to living your life more fully. Clarity and insight into the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that shape you. Practical coping strategies to manage stress, regulate emotions, and handle difficult situations. A renewed sense of empowerment, so you feel capable of making meaningful choices and changes. Most importantly, therapy with me is about your goals. I will partner with you to clarify what you want to achieve and support you every step of the way. By the time we complete our work together, my greatest hope is that you’ll feel confident, resilient, and equipped to face life with a stronger, more grounded sense of self.
