What should a new client know about working with you?

I achieved my Masters in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and have been a director at a trauma focused Intensive Outpatient Program treating pychological and addictive disorders for the past 4 years, and have been treating clients for the past 15 years. I fully believe in being a warm, down to earth, and active partner in the therapeutic relationship.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

For patients who are interested in joining my practice, the first step is to reach out to me via Zocdoc. Next, we will set up a free consultation to talk about what you are looking for, and make sure we match based on your needs, my skill set, and our availablity for therapy sessions. After we confirm all of those parts, we will start with an assessment of what your symptoms are, what your goals are, and I will use my clinical skill set to create a treatment plan for you. I draw from several therapeutic modalities such as traditional talk therapy, DBT skills, solution focused therapy, attachment focused EMDR, and somatic therapy to help you reduce your symptoms and cope with life challenges. Together, we will determine how long therapy will be helpful and beneficial to you. Throughout therapy, we will continue to assess your goals and how to live life to the fullest!
