Andy Overgard, LPC
Andy Overgard is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas who has been practicing since 2021. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Schreiner University, as well as a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Andy provides a safe, calm space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. His diverse life experiences allow him to connect with many different clients on multiple levels. As a Wounded Combat Veteran, he relates to Veterans in ways that many others cannot. Andy does not take a cookie-cutter approach to therapy or try to fit every client into a specific box. He believes in the uniqueness and individuality of people and feels that therapy should be tailored to each person. Outside of work, Andy enjoys cooking, scuba diving, hiking, fishing, music, traveling, family, and his grandchildren.

Patient, kind, & compassionate practitioner. He is really good with kids. My boys & I see Andy regularly & he is very easy to talk to, which is awesome because it makes the things that are difficult to talk about, less difficult to talk about. He holds us accountable & is honest about the work that needs to be done to help us grow.

I love working with Andy. It’s like talking to my cool older uncle who doesn’t make me feel awkward or embarrassed, but also isn’t afraid to hold me accountable for the things I want to change. He listens intently and I can tell he cares very much.

I can't thank Andy enough on how he was able to bring me back to my normal self. I had a black cloud over my head for weeks but after going through therapy sessions it really has turn my life around and I really found the meaning of life again. This journey has not been easy by any means but I can truly say that I have turn the corner. All the staff and online experience as far as booking, messaging, and records has been great. Thank you for everything !!!!

Great guy. Sleeps with married women/coworker . Arrested for assault and battery. Can't be around the victims children for a couple of years. Has a cps case opened on him for exposing kids to domestic violence. Kids are in therapy. Kids specially mentioned him I. A cps case and the assault on their dad at a custody exchange. Overall great guy.
