Feeling stuck in survival mode can include irritability, emotional numbness, sleep problems, chronic stress, and feeling disconnected from yourself and others. This is common with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, addiction, and major life transitions that impact the nervous system. I also work with veterans, first responders, and adults in high-stress roles experiencing trauma and stress-related symptoms. Together, we focus on reducing trauma symptoms, improving emotional regulation, and helping your nervous system feel safer so you can move toward lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and you don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, respected, and supported while also being challenged in ways that help you grow. I work with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, addiction, stress, and major life transitions, including veterans and individuals in other high-stress roles. Together, we'll identify what's contributing to your current struggles, build practical coping skills, and work toward lasting change at a pace that feels manageable.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself. During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, reviewing your history, and identifying the goals you'd like to work toward. There's no pressure to share everything at once—we move at a pace that feels right for you. From there, each session is tailored to your unique needs. Together, we'll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Depending on your goals, I may incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and other trauma-informed techniques. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, addiction recovery, life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, therapy is a collaborative process. My role is to provide guidance, support, and practical tools while helping you build confidence, resilience, and lasting emotional well-being.
