Hi there, I'm Angela! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor/Art Therapist, and I have a wide range of experience working with clients of all ages. I have worked with children in special education, elderly adults in hospice, and provided art therapy as well as individual counseling to patients. My focus I work with individuals navigating trauma, addiction, severe mental illness, personality disorders, and life's difficult transitions. I also support those coping with loved ones who have narcissistic personality disorder or persistent mental health conditions. My approach As for my therapeutic approaches, I consider myself to be open-minded, flexible, and willing to provide whatever would be best suited for each client I work with. I have a humanistic approach and can provide ACT, Existential Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. My journey to mental healthcare As I look back at my education and professional experience, I can say that I have always had compassion and love for helping people. I have worked in a psychiatric hospital for 10 years, a hospice for 6, and in special education. My goals for you Everyone comes to therapy with different stories and goals. We might work on processing trauma, developing coping strategies for specific issues, or learning to accept and find meaning in your life's journey. I tailor our work to what matters most to you. Our first session Clients will find that I am very adept at providing psychoeducation to understand themselves and how to deal with the situations they come to therapy to process and cope with.
