Getting to know Angela Lee

I started my career in Early Childhood Education. I raised two children with emotional/behavioral struggles which inspired me to change my career to mental health. I received my BS degree in Psychology from Florida State University and my MS degree in Clinical Mental Health from Troy University. I have experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor and have supervised various departments and programs, from counseling and case management departments to social rehabilitation and residential programs. I also have experience working in a psychiatric inpatient facility. I have worked with people with a variety of mental health disorders such as mood disorders, trauma, anxiety and depression. As a parent of children with special needs, my passion for helping individuals navigate the mental health system comes not only from professional experience but also from personal experience. I wholeheartedly believe in the importance of treating individuals with respect and dignity and ensuring everyone has the right to person-centered care.
