I am a highly skilled and compassionate therapist with over 10 years of experience in the field of addiction and mental health. I received my Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University and Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. I treat adolescents, adults, couples, and families affected by mental illness and/or addiction. My approach I enjoy supporting individuals in achieving their clinical goals and pride myself in curating individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each person. I believe in meeting each individual where they are at, utilizing a strength-based, motivational, and harm reduction approach, and specializing in the use of evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, prolonged exposure (for PTSD), and other supportive therapies. My personal interests include being outdoors, camping, reading, spending time with my family and friends, increasing wellness in my community, and having a positive impact on others. Whether you are self-referred, encouraged to seek treatment by friends or family, referred by an attorney, probation officer, or employer, I am here to support you. My focus I enjoy working with individuals and families affected by chemical dependency. Through individual and family education and support services, I consider the whole person and family supporting them in achieving a higher quality of life, more effective communication, and healthier coping. My communication style I utilize a strength-based, motivational approach to treatment and utilize open-ended questions, affirmations, reflections, and summaries in my communication. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been drawn to the field of psychology and sociology, and I find it fascinating how unique we are as individuals.
